Christmas Morning
What a day, Dylan had been counting down until Santa came and what a day it was! Not only did Santa bring Star Wars LEGO's, but Grandma and Grandpa gave him the original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD.
Thank You Santa! See you next year!

Dylan's Gingerbread House
Well, this year we decided to attempt a Gingerbread House and I think it turned out pretty darn good! Dylan had so much fun putting all the candies on the house ... one for the house and one for Dylan. Hahaha

My Son the Ring Bearer
Dylan was in "Aunt" Emily's wedding yesterday and I could not be more proud of the little guy! He did such a good job and looked so handsome in his tux. Dylan and Caroline, the flower girl, got along so well and have very similar personalities. They definitely stole the show as far as cuteness goes ... but Emily, oh Emily was a beautiful bride!

Big 1st Grader
I still can't believe my little baby is all grown up ... well at least grown up as much as a six year old can be! I am so lucky to have a child who is so enthusiastic about his homework. Dylan loves reading and math is his favorite subject in school. Reading I understand, but the math, seriously? This must be a ripple effect from me spending the entire summer taking College Algebra I and II. Dylan is doing great in school so far and of course he has become one of the teacher's favorites. I'm so proud of my little boy!

Dylan's Creation
Now that Dylan is an official member of Club Lego he wants his picture to be in the magazine like the other kids. So he created his very own "Pirate Tower"

Summer is Coming ...
It might only be the end of May, but we are having a heat wave and it's in the high 80's. So we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house to kick back by the pool and have some fun! Dylan played with the new pool toy Grandma bought and I got to relax in the sun.

Happy Mother's Day!
Next to Dylan's birthday, Mother's Day is one of my favorite days. Dylan woke me up with a big hug and kiss, told me I was the bestest mommy in the whole wide universe, to the moon and back and infinity and beyond. :) And just look at this beautiful frame he made for me! This will be going to my office so I can see it all the time.

My Little Artist
OK, we all think our child is an amazing artist. Dylan spent almost 30 minutes drawing this on his easel and the details made me speechless. Not to mention the 10 minute explanation he gave after he finished drawing it!
The sun is out and it's hot (that's why it is orange-red color)and the wind is blowing (those swirly things). Mommy is surfing on the little wave in front and Dylan is surfing on the big wave being chased by a shark. In case he falls off the big wave there is a diving board (in mid-air) so he can do a cannonball into the ocean. And because Mommy loves dolphins so much, she also gets to swim with one in the ocean. Wow! What an imagination!

Cupcakes Anyone?
Not like I need anything else to do, because I can hardly handle school, work, two home businesses, laundry, dishes and Dylan ... BUT I have started a new hobby! I have always loved to bake and decided it would be fun to learn how to make those special cupcakes people always brag about. You know, the one's that melt in your mouth with real buttercream frosting and homemade fondant. The one's that look to good to eat, but you just can't wait to take a bite of them. So after practicing at home and perfecting my recipe (Dylan was a grat taster and never complained once)I decided to make cupcakes for the family gathering on Easter.

Easter 2009
Easter was so much fun this year. Dylan has grown up so much, yet he still gets so excited about finding eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny at Grandma's house!Next year the Easter Bunny will have to hide the eggs better, because Dylan found them so fast.
And this year the Easter Bunny even brought a special treat ...
We are truly blessed ... and reminded of the real meaning of Easter!

Legoland Fun!
Now that Lego's are Dylan's favorite thing to play with, it was only right to spend the day at LEGOLAND. I'm not really sure who had more fun me or Dylan. He loved running from one place to another, and I was just amazed at what can be made from Lego's!

Where does the time go?
I must apologize to those of you that actually read our blog. Things have been so crazy since the holidays; I haven't had any time to sit and write. I will try to give a quick recap and make time to update this blog on a regular basis again!
Dylan has been doing great in school. I swear he has a photographic memory. He is reading books to me ~ WOW and his writing is getting so good. My little boy is growing up so fast! In his free time he still enjoys animals, but has discovered Webkinz and spends much time on the computer with them (he now has 28, thanks to Grandma and Mom)
As for myself, I went back to school in January to get my Bachelors in Psychology. Then, in late February I finally received the phone call I had been waiting for from the NMUSD ~ yes, I got the job!! I now work full-time at Ensign Intermediate School running the ASB office, book weddings on the weekends, do school work at night, and somehow fit being a mom into my schedule too. The best part is that I will now have all school holidays and summers off with Dylan!
